HSE Risk Manager, North America (Monroe, LA - Dallas, TX -

this a reality.About the Role:The purpose of this role is to
provide technical and subject matter leadership, advice and
coordination of Drax Group's Risk strategy development, to provide
expertise to our compliance approach, to support development of
group level management system documentation. The role is required
to provide subject matter expertise for Pellet Operations (in
construction and operational phases) and supports delivery of the
HSE Improvement Strategy.The role will help support the development
of a risk-based, values-driven approach to HSE management, leading
and establishing the necessary conditions to drive safe, reliable,
compliant and sustainable practices, culture and mind-set. It will
have a key role in defining the Group HSE governance and
frameworks, standards and guidance, ensuring that international
standards and recognized good practice are captured therein, making
recommendations, seeking consultation and implementing process
enhancements to improve on environmental performance, regulatory
compliance and reporting. The role of the Group management system
requirements is to set the 'what' must be achieved with the
business units defining their own culturally appropriate 'how' to
achieve these, and to provide guidance of what good practice would
be.The Risk Manager is in charge of identifying potential threats
to a company's safety & health, legal compliance, or reputation.
Communication with senior leadership, department managers, or legal
staff.So, what will you be doing?Ensure the organization's risk
management policies and strategies are in compliance with
applicable regulations, contracts, state and city laws, and
strategic goals of the organizationSet the strategic risk
management vision, and deliver that strategy to the company using
exceptional leadership skills, a network of internal and external
alliances, and highly developed business skillsSupport renewal
efforts and program placements by collecting, evaluating, and
analyzing underwriting submissions for completeness while
performing day-to-day risk management and insurance functions in
order to successfully manage current and expired
programsCommunicate project status, process standards and changes,
and issues and workarounds, clearly and succinctly to business and
operations support teamCollaborate with operational teams and
business stakeholders to gather business requirements, supporting
the design of new or improved processes of moderate complexity, and
understand business/customer impactPrepare risk management, loss
and cost reports for use by managementCoordinate with all internal
departments that play a role in the various insurance functions,
and develop and oversee appropriate trainings for these
departmentsAnalyze and monitor risks within the company's business
units, recommend or take corrective actions as appropriate, and
report on these risksMeets regularly with key stakeholders to
provide input to the risk calibration process for third party
vendorsManage Pellets Risk Register Program including all
documentation, meetings, actions, and systemsPartner with key
stakeholders to develop and communicate Business Continuity
PlansConduct risk audits at all pellet operational facilities,
track action items, and prepare written reports for review by the
senior leadership teams and insurance brokers.Coordinate
engineering reviews of all new or modified equipment installation
between the Drax engineering teams and outside
stakeholders.Conducting policy and standard compliance audits, as
well as liaise with internal and external auditors.Analyzing risk,
which entails comparing predicted risks to organizational criteria
such as expenses, legal requirements, and environmental variables,
as well as evaluating previous risk management.Assist in
maintaining equipment asset list in partnership with the
procurement, finance, and legal team.About you:Strong verbal and
writing skills are required prior experience in developing and
delivering operational risk reportingThe ability to manage multiple
projects under tight timelinesKnowledge of industry standard and
regulatory requirementsDemonstration of a detailed understanding of
the framework of compliance in pellet operations.Demonstrated
ability to convene and lead workshops for business requirements and
to capture/collate technical solutions; experienced in driving
engagement, performance, and championing compliance, through the
development of Risk management systemsStrong technical writing
capability, with excellent attention to detail and delivery to
timetables.Develops cost-effective programs to eliminate or reduce
the financial impact of losses in all operational areasProactively
identifies opportunities for collaboration across the risk and
business teams3-5 years in experience in risk management dealing
with various derivativesA bachelor's degree in business
administration, economics, Health & Safety, or a related
discipline.Preferred a Certification as a Professional Risk Manager
(PRM) may be advantageous.This role will continue to report to the
Vice President of HSE for North America and will have a dotted line
report to the Deputy General Counsel North America for this part of
the role. The candidate selected will a be self-starter and able to
prioritize concurrent workstreams while being organized,
methodical, and structured in your approach to work. Must be a
team-player who exhibits a willingness to collaborate and engage
with different teams. Travel to all Drax Pellet sites will be
