The Operations Engineer II is responsible for the maintenance,
monitoring, and repair of complex network issues on the BI team.
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, BI platforms, SS7
network architecture, Crystal Reports, maintenance contract
renewals, and troubleshooting methodology. Contributes to the
development of tickets with support teams. Completes complex tasks
in creative and effective ways. Liaison with IT for BI team
support. Backup for Management, to represent BI team. Works
directly with VIAVI Operational Assistant to address issues.
Supports complex, diverse, and/or technical analysis regarding
planning, programs and systems. Acts as a liaison on specific
projects with other work areas.
In addition to resolving difficult network issues, reviews
maintenance and configuration procedures, performs root cause
analysis for network events, implements assigned network
maintenance and deployment work, and updates network documentation
as necessary. Excellent communication skills are necessary for this
position as the successful candidate interfaces with management,
SS7 Engineering, SS7 NOC support teams, and other internal
Evaluates systems and programs and develops solutions and
improvements in partnership with business partners.
Works under limited supervision
Uses several techniques to solve complex problems where analysis of
situations or data requires a review and analysis of several
factors. May lead the implementation of tactical plans in support
of strategic initiatives

work objectives. Serves as an advocate for client and represents
internal and external customers on specific projects with other

5+ years related experience with Bachelors / 2+ years related
