The Role We are looking for talented individuals with proven experience in a DevOps role with a focus on network tools andautomation. This position will support the Network and Customer Transformation organization and is anopportunity to work in a DevOps environment for one of the largest IP and voice networks in the world. In this role,you will assist with the creation and support of bots, scripts, and/or tools to facilitate automation and technicianefficiency. Ideal candidate has software development, RPA, and/or machine learning experience in addition togeneral knowledge of networking concepts. The Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Network and Customer Transformation organization individually or in collaborative teams to design, develop, and deliver tools, scripts, and other automation solutions for clients throughout the Lumen organization.
  • Work in an Network Operations environment amongst network technicians with a goal of optimizing troubleshooting procedures and expanding technician capabilities via automation and tools.
  • Champion methodology by demonstrating ownership of all aspects of the development lifecycle
  • Develop, test, deploy, and provide support for end-to-end Robotic Process Automation objects and workflows as per client requirements.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders throughout a project to gain clarification of requirements, provide project status, identify gaps, identify issues, discuss schedules
  • Influence the work of others in order to drive medium & large projects to successful completion through effective project management, customer interaction, and IT coordination
  • Effectively estimate the time it will take for themselves and others to perform tasks and are able to influence the team's work to be completed within those timeframes
  • Effectively categorize support problems and respond with the appropriate level of urgency
  • Provide support and enhancements for existing applications and procedures.
  • Provide on-call support of bots, tools, and systems as requested.
  • Write documentation and provide knowledge transfers to users and support teams. What We Look For in a Candidate
    • Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience. Typically with 6+ years related experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to work closely with network engineers and software developers.
    • Experience in the following areas:
    • Machine learning, data science, or other forms of predictive analysis.
    • Robotic process automation (RPA) tools such as UIPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc.
    • Orchestration platforms such as Itential or Anuta.
    • Agile methodology of project management.
    • Working in Linux and Windows environments.
    • Hands-on with programming/scripting languages such as Java/C++, Python, Perl, etc.
    • Databases, including MySQL and Oracle.
    • L2/L3 networking protocols such as MPLS, BGP, 802.1q, and TCP/IP.
    • Continuous improvement mindset and the ability to analyze business processes to identify process improvements and optimization.
    • Ability to assess the current state, identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, and lay out a roadmap for the future state that leverages automation technologies.
    • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical matters in business terms.
    • Ability to act swiftly under pressure, prioritize, and adapt to changing priorities.

      Salary Range Salary Min : 72540Salary Max : 161520This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
