Job Description Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on equipment. This includes mechanical tasks such as handling hydraulics, replacing ball screws, and rebuilding gearboxes. On the electrical side, you will need to read a multimeter and troubleshoot contacts, relays, proximity switches, and photo eyes. You will also work with 3 Phase motors up to 480V, handling wiring and rebuilding any motor utilized in the plant. When not performing repairs, you will conduct preventative maintenance and enhance your skills in troubleshooting robotics using the tools provided by the company. Responsibilities Perform mechanical troubleshooting including hydraulics, ball screw replacement, and gearbox rebuilding. Conduct electrical troubleshooting, including reading multimeters and working with contacts, relays, proximity switches, and photo eyes. Troubleshoot and maintain 3 Phase motors up to 480V, including wiring and rebuilding. Execute preventative maintenance tasks. Train and develop skills in robotics troubleshooting. Essential Skills 1 year of industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience. 1 year of electrical troubleshooting experience on 3 Phase Motors 480V, proximity switches, contacts, relays, and other motors. 1 year of hydraulic troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of PLC's/ladder logic or ability to read inputs/outputs. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work schedule is from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a rotating shift pattern. Training may last between 3 to 9 months. The automotive manufacturing plant is non-temperature controlled, and the summer months can be extremely hot. The environment is fast-paced, with work being highly monitored for pace. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
