NOTICE OF FILING OF APPLICATION UNDER THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR'S PERMANENT LABOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

POSITION TITLE: Engineer II
POSITION DUTIES: Define and develop strategy for the implementation of new network facilities assuming the most feasible and economic means. Analyze local and wide area network systems including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites. Complete network designs and cost analysis for projects/sites in the assigned area. Create network designs that encompass additions, rearrangements and removal to facilities as driven by customer contracts, capacity needs and/or network reliability enhancements. Create an approved funding package with a Scope of Work that details the projects costs, hardware and software, due date, circuit strategy and what the intended benefit will be when the project is completed. Integrate new approved products into the network. Analyze the existing network to drive toward the most up-to-date and reliable network. Collaborate with vendors on tactical issues that arise during the course of daily ongoing network activities. Utilize a number of different of resources and systems to obtain a network solution including METASOLV and TIRKs; Secure CRT; network audit topology maps; Netsmart 1500 management system supporting the Fujitsu devices; Ciena 6500; Fujitsu 9500; Cisco 7200; Ciena 5150, 5305, 311, 427; Alcatel 7750; Calix E7; Redback BRAS; Juniper MX480 & 960. Develop budgets and allocating funds to projects and making adjustments within the funding tool as they occur. Partner with engineering and finance to ensure the overall budget targets are met.
