Duties and Responsibilities: Plans, organizes, recruits, directs,
integrates, and evaluates the work of the dual enrollment program
and CTE programs; initiates and maintains positive relations with
K-12 partners and LDCC staff and faculty to implement, support, and
expand CTE programs; acts in concert with Campus Directors as the
lead point of contact for high school counselors, administrators,
and faculty regarding dual enrollment and CTE programs.
* Supports the development and maintenance of Career Technical
Education (CTE) curriculum and general education pathways from the
high schools, in collaboration with Campus Directors, Deans and
Vice Chancellor based on the initiatives of LDCC.
* Develops, implements, and manages agreements with local K-12
partners to achieve goals and objectives, in alignment with the
statewide strategic plans; manages and directs the development,
implementation, and evaluation of plans, work processes, systems
and procedures to achieve annual goals, objectives, and work
standards.
* Advance student equity, diversity, and inclusion through
educational program planning and implementation.
* With Campus Directors and technical program leads, directs and
manages CTE coordinators on all campuses to ensure uniformity in
CTE programs and monitors performance and program metrics.
* Collaborates with LDCC staff, faculty, and special programs to
ensure comprehensive and strategic integration of program
participants into college support services and transition of high
school students to postsecondary education or CTE credentials or
certificates.
* Develops, reviews, and ensures compliance with policies and
procedures related to the Perkins pathway programs and dual
enrollment programs.
* Develops and coordinates marketing to facilitate and enhance
knowledge of and participation in CTE programs and dual enrollment
programs.
* Stays abreast of and ensures program compliance with federal,
state and local legislation and regulations; assists in developing,
revising, and implementing relevant program policies and
procedures.
* Coordinates and chairs appropriate advisory committee meetings
and attends all advisory meetings and activities relevant to CTE
and High School Initiatives
* Prepares a variety of reports and correspondence appropriate to
assignment according to established timelines and as requested,
makes presentations to the LDCC leadership team, regional Perkins
team, and community stakeholders.
* Maintains a variety of manual and electronic files and. or
records (e.g., statistical data, programs reports, webpages,
databases etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the integrity and
availability of the documentation in support of the students'
educational goals.
Required Education: Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
* Graduation from an accredited college or university with a
bachelor's degree, AND
* At least three years of progressively responsible professional
experience in a related field;
* Excellent team building and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience working with community organizations in the development
and coordination of CTE and dual enrollment programs.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Time and task oriented
* Banner Experience
* Strong understanding of CTE programs, recruitment, and retention
efforts
Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a
condition of employment.
