Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days -
Employment Type: Travel Title-Surgical Technician Location-
Shreveport LA 71103 Shift- Monday through Friday (630AM-3PM). 5
call days per 6 week schedule. 2 weekends per 6 week schedule with
possible call following. holidays as needed with possible call
following. This job assists in procedures competently and
professionally, ensures appropriate handling and maintenance of
equipment and supplies, and ensures availability of equipment and
supplies for surgical procedures. Scrubs for surgical procedures
and performs other duties as assigned by the registered nurse (RN).
Education Required - High school diploma or equivalent and graduate
from an accepted course in surgical technology certification.
Experience Required - 2 years experience Certifications Required -
Certification in Surgical Technology. Basic Life Support (BLS)
through American Heart Association. KSAs Good organizational
skills. Good time management skills and ability to be self
directed. Ability to demonstrate good judgement. Job Duties
Performs direct patient care duties, including assisting physicians
during procedures. Assists in the day-to-day operations of the
department. Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical
skills, equipment, training, and credentials. Adapts to change in a
positive constructive manner. Ensures cleanliness and/disinfection
of endoscopes while maintaining quality control measures. Performs

diseases. Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting,
there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous
medications or hazardous waste within the environment through
receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing,
administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The
risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job
duties of the role. First week Orientation can be at any area
facility. In-unit training will be at the actual site of work.
Candidate needs to be able to travel to the sites in the area for
orientation as need be. First day instructions are sent directly to
the candidate from the client HR team latest by Friday 2 pm before
