Hero's Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA The Overton
Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA, has an immediate opening
for a full-time, board certified/board eligible Primary Care
Physician. Shreveport is situated on the Red River in northwest
Louisiana. Commonly known as the 'Ark-La-Tex', the point where
Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas meet. You'll enjoy a unique
combination of two great American heritages: a little Cajun, and
since we're less than 15 minutes from the Texas border, a little
Lone Star, too. Candidates must be highly motivated, team-oriented,
and committed to the care and good health of our Veterans. The
Overton Brooks VA Medical Center is fully dedicated to providing
top-quality medical care by serving and honoring America’s
Veterans. Highlights of this position include: Competitive Starting
Salary $215,000 - $230,000 Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm.
Occasional call on weekends Provide comprehensive assessment,
diagnostic work-up and clinic intervention to scheduled and
unscheduled patients in the outpatient clinic setting Works
collaboratively with other health care professionals to accomplish
patient, service, and medical center goals, promoting and embracing
the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model of care Distinguish
between normal and abnormal findings to establish a diagnosis and
initiate appropriate response to emergency health problems Order
and evaluate diagnostic tests as appropriate, recommend treatment
and/or referral Initiate appropriate referrals and consultations to
other clinical services Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen
candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found Full
and unrestricted license from any U.S. State Preferred Board
Certified with Family Practice We offer: Predictable work schedules
