Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro ICU Location: Shreveport, LA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,038 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Shreveport, Louisiana, 71103! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Compact or Louisiana license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI preferred Must-Have: - Epic experience required - 1:2 patient ratio experience Description: The unit has a daily census of 10 patients. The nurse may be required to float to other ICU units if necessary. There will be an expectation to work every other weekend. The role involves a wide range of skills including patient management and monitoring. The nurse will provide care for neurosurgery ICU patients. Special procedures in this unit may include placing external ventricular drains and frequent neuro checks. Support services available include physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The nurse will also be involved in emergency situations as needed. The environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to manage critically ill patients effectively. Proper infection prevention and isolation precautions will be practiced. The nurse will need to demonstrate proficiency in using advanced monitoring systems. Critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential for this role.
