qualifications will not be considered. Provide critical care and
support to patients on the step-down unit, ensuring high standards
of nursing practice in an acute care setting. This contract

activities. Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to
step-down unit patients, closely monitoring and assessing their
conditions. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other
healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized
care plans. Administer medications and treatments accurately and
efficiently. Document patient information thoroughly and maintain
compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Respond
to patient emergencies with proficiency and calm. Adhere to
infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
Qualifications/Desired Experience: Current, active Kansas RN
license. Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Medical-Surgical
Registered Nurse in an acute care setting. Prior experience
specifically in a Step-Down or similar monitored care unit
preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Strong
critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills.
Schedule/Hours: 36 hours per week. 12-hour night shifts. Weekend
and holiday coverage as needed. Floating between Medical Floor and
Step-Down Unit. This 13-week contract position offers a chance to
