If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you'll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC) in Monroe, Louisiana, where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. These centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.As an Database Administrator, you will be designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting databases. You will work with various projects and clients, working towards client specifications.As a DBA, you will be responsible for applying industry standards and technical best practices toward technical solutions for the business, which are driven by well-defined system + business requirements. You will take a proactive approach to long term support to ensure system reliability and stability for our business partners and clients. The IBM Services Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Monroe, LA center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). You are expected to travel approximately 50% of the time. If selected for this position, you will be required to relocate to the state of LOUISIANA within 30 days of starting with IBM. Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with DB2 LUW database administration experience which includes project and production support.
  • Experience with performing DB2 Health checks and Performance Reviews
  • Exposure to backup/restore operations, data partitioning, DR setup, upgrades and server supportPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Experience with AIX operating system

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws.
