Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 bonuses DOE Responsibilities: Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome Passion for lawyering and being in the courtroom making a difference Honesty is critical and good ethical character is essential Love connecting with people Passionate about helping others Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Treats a 4:30 call on Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning Exceptional curiosity - Ownership mindset Qualifications: Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required Work independently while handling a heavy caseload 3 years of Criminal Law experience Former prosecutor or public defender experience strongly preferred: We have 2 former DA's, 1 former PD, and 1 former Magistrate on staff. While we value the prosecutor mindset, we also highly value the client management skills of a Public Defender for this role. High Emotional Intelligence (EQ): You must be able to navigate difficult situations with grace.
