Job Description:

Mechanical AutoCAD Drafter position for a multi-disciplinary Oil and Gas, Chemical Plants, and Pulp and Paper design firm in Monroe, LA. The ideal candidate will have some experience operating AutoCAD 2D and CADWorx/AutoCAD 3D. CAD skills include layering, dimensioning, and annotation of general arrangement drawings, piping plans and elevations, and machine and vessel drawings, P&IDs and process flow diagrams.

Drafter will report to the office in Monroe, LA where Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Designers, Drafters, Engineers, and Project Managers work together on small and large projects.

2+ years' experience using AutoCAD for 2D drafting

Moderate proficiency with AutoCAD 2D drafting

Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Excel programs

Familiar in standard Drafting Practices

Able to communicate well with Designers, Engineers and Project Managers on daily tasks

Able to read and draw P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)

Able to read and create orthogonal drawings

Experience working with Engineers' or Fabricators' redline drawings

Capable of updating drawings from redlines from Engineers, Contractors, or Designers.

CADworks, AutoCAD Plant 3D and piping modeling software knowledge is not required but is a plus

2 years' community college or greater is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
