This position is responsible for managing application
development/support teams within the Consumer BSS organization.
Accountable to deliver comprehensive support and quality
development projects for the multiple applications with a focus on
performance and stability. This role is both management and
hands-on requiring the best candidate to bring deep technical and
software expertise, strong business acumen, ability to define
visionary, ground breaking products, ability to lead diverse teams,
desire to have an industry wide impact and ability to work within a
fast-moving environment in a large company to rapidly deliver
support and services that have a broad business impact.
This manager will be responsible for multiple teams developing API
and microservices solutions supporting customer, product, and
preordering validation services as well as enhancing and supporting
customer ordering platforms. This role will work with business
partners to create/update/replace current solutions and new
solutions and to ensure solutions are compatible with all lines of
business and digital interaction strategies including, but not
limited to Retail, Self-Service, Partner, and Wholesale.Job
--- Manage a team(s) of developers onshore and offshore.
--- Manage the development activities and deliverables on time with
client satisfaction in an international working environment with
matrix resources in different locations and time zones.
--- Lead developer candidate interviews and hiring decisions for
both full time employees and contractors.
--- Assist employees in building and managing their development
--- Employee performance reviews.
--- Remain abreast of industry software technology, software
development and support techniques.
--- Ensure the best solution is designed and implemented on time
and with quality for each software release within the Agile Safe
--- Provide for the timely and accurate resolution of business
partner service requests, prompt replies to business partner or
management inquiries, and regular feedback regarding application
status opportunities, and problems.
--- Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience.
Typically with 5-7 years related experience and 2+ years previous
manager level leadership experience preferred.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems
or related field or the equivalent in training and experience
5+ years of proven development / software engineering experience in
a Technology environment.
2+ years of experience leading and/or managing a JAVA application
Track record of fast learning and adaption to the new technology
Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or
Leadership of business system application development
Bachelors or EquivalentMasters or Equivalent
